HGV Class 2 Driver - Multi-Drop - Swindon
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver - Multi-Drop - Swindon to join our well-established client based in Swindon.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing full-time work, immediate starts, and genuine long-term opportunities within a professional transport operation.
This role would also suit candidates who have previously worked as a Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Category C Driver, Delivery Driver, or HGV Driver.
This is an ideal role for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for stable day shifts and consistent Monday to Friday work.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday • AM start times from 07:00am until finish • Ongoing day shift work • Weekend overtime available
Rates of Pay
• £16.35 per hour - Monday to Friday • Overtime rates available for weekends and bank holidays • Weekly Pay

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing Class 2 multi-drop deliveries to customer locations • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly before transport • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly • Assisting with loading and unloading where required • Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' Class 2 driving experience • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No major endorsement codes • A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws and drivers' hours regulations • Good communication and customer service skills
