Advanced HGV / PSV Technician - Night Shift
A leading London bus operator is looking for skilled and motivated Level 3 HGV/PSV Technicians to join its growing engineering team across multiple London depots.
This is a night shift role working a 4-on / 4-off rotation, giving you excellent work-life balance with plenty of time off throughout the year, alongside strong earning potential and optional overtime opportunities.
Hours:
6:00pm - 6:00am
The Role
As an Advanced Engineer, you'll play a key part in keeping a modern fleet operating safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for carrying out inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on buses to the highest standards.
Duties Include:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV/PSV vehicles
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
Using tablet-based systems to complete job records and inspections
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
Supporting vehicle reliability and fleet availability
What We're Looking For
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Previous experience working on heavy vehicles, buses or commercial fleets
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures
Comfortable using digital workshop systems and diagnostic equipment
Desirable:
IRTEC accreditation
PCV licence (training can be provided if required)
