The Role:

The Transport Planner is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day planning of a dedicated portion of the IT fleet. This includes maintaining agreed service levels, maximising vehicle utilisation, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Efficient planning and routing of the fleet of vehicles to ensure maximum profitability
• Communicating with drivers, customers, and sub-contractors
• Accurately processing jobs using transport management software
• Providing quotations for customers
• Assisting drivers with job information and troubleshooting issues
• Ensuring driver compliance with working time and hours regulations
• Ensuring all vehicles comply with relevant legislation
• Rotating vehicles to optimise productivity and efficiency
• Planning vehicles for inspections, servicing, and repairs as required
• Maintaining agreed service levels, vehicle utilisation, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications / Skills

• Previous experience in routing and planning a fleet of vehicles
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong computer literacy
