HGV Technician

Our client, a reputable large Commercial Dealership Group, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in the Grimsby area. • Alternating shift patterns: Week 1 Mon-Fri 6:00-15:30, Week 2 Mon-Fri 13:00-22:30

Duties of a HGV Technician:

• Inspect and repair HGVs to DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation
• Fault diagnosis utilizing specialist diagnostic equipment
• Perform general mechanical and electrical repairs
• Conduct offsite breakdown attendances when required
• Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance
• Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and reliable
• Assist in maintaining workshop efficiency and safety standards

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

• Proven experience working on HGVs
• Level 3 HGV qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) preferred
• Strong workshop experience with a focus on quality and safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Own set of tools
• Excellent understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
• Commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
