HGV Class 1 Driver (Tipper)– Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) Transport
Texo Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a 3-month contract based in the Runcorn/Widnes area. This role involves the specialised transport of Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) between two key processing facilities.
Role Overview
- Hourly Rate: £18.13 per hour
- Shift Pattern: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
- Hours: 06:00 to 18:00 (12-hour shifts)
- Duration: 3 Months (Fixed Term)
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe transfer of IBA materials. The route is consistent and local, running specifically between:
- Collection: Runcorn
- Delivery: Widnes
Due to the nature of the product, drivers must ensure all loads are properly secured and that health and safety protocols are strictly followed at both the energy-from-waste site and the processing facility.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential given the 06:00 start time.
- Walking Floor Experience
- Note: There are no specific age or licence point restrictions for this contract, though all candidates must pass standard competency checks.
